Just for the Guys!!!!

Okay. This is basically a complete and utter first for me but I hope that it’s well received by the masses. Let me just say doing this was a bit tougher than I thought it would be but I persevered and rocked these outfits out! So you may be thinking what in the world I’m talking about so let me just clarify. I created my first male avatar for blogging on male outfits and articles. Now I should have probably created an entirely new and different account with a male name instead of using my main account. This would’ve saved me a lot of time and prevented a ton of questions from random people as I went on the Just for guys hunt. I have to say that it was entertaining to see what others said when they saw my avatar. I’m told by my female friends I’m a lot hotter as a male than a female but I’ll let you all be the judge since I’m really much too fond of my female avatar and self to change to a male. [Laughs]

Now as I was saying before I began to digress on my new part time, semi look, I joined the Just for the guys hunt since it promised to have some really nice and high quality things for the guys. I never realized how difficult it was to shop for a man so I have to say that all the male models out there have my utmost respect for you and what you do. But below you will see a few of the items I managed to snap up during my little foraging and explorations and I really hope that all of you enjoy it. It took some time and effort- especially trying to get all those hints- but I am really happy with my findings. Enjoy! You are such a PUNK!

Another day and another thousand L spent on some more awesome outfits. Today I was in a pretty casual and punky mood when I went to hang out with my sisters as we celebrated her baby shower for her 9th child. Yes I know what you’re thinking: “Is she from the Brady Bunch??” No she’s just someone that loves being a mother but I digress. I love the classy, high end and chic dresses as much as the next girl- maybe even more so because I don’t wear a lot of dresses in real life. But as I was participating in the Winterchoice 2009 StampCard Event I came across this amazing store and I wanted to be the one to share it with you along with the prize I won.

The pants from NINIKO are probably my favorite pair of the moment- probably the entire month because it’s funky, cute, and comfortable. I decided to go all out in my “I could careless mood” and added some skuffed tartan sneakers from TwentyFIRST from Xstreet. You cannot believe all the great goodies you can find in the popular isle filled with very cheap promo items from quality stores and designers. But with the plaid you know I had to get a nice buttoned white shirt with some suspenders from Naith Smit Designs. It comes in two styles for men and women- black/white shirt and black/white suspenders. I just couldn’t resist with the ciggy. [Grins]

The Catz Meow

I was in a purrfect mood today and had to bust out my sexy neko outfit and tail. Something about dressing at a neko upon occassion brings out the playful and fun loving side of me where I can let loose and go wild with my personality and creativity. I find that things flow better and ideas come a lot more readily than they otherwise would if I had been wearing a suit- go figure! I think that every female and male must have at least ONE neko outfit, tail and ears stored away in their inventory whether they want to admit it or not.

Neko is not just a style but has become a virtual culture within second life that is undeniable and plain to see in every facet of our SL lives. I’m sure everyone has seen them prancing around sims, swiping people with their animated tails, or purring with every other breath. If you haven’t then I would have to ask where in the world you’ve been living- under a rock?! Some despise the neko culture and fashion- although I fail to see why with all the cute and sassy items that are available to customize your look- and vow never to wear a tail as long as they live because it somehow makes them look as if they would like to be an animal. I’m not so sure about that. When I wear my ears and tail I don’t start thinking of myself as a cat or animal that is suddenly going to get down on all fours and rub against people’s legs while begging to be petted, or sit down and start awkwardly licking myself in places that I would have dislodge my ribs to reach! I will say that a new attitude does present itself when I get dressed- a sensual, playful, loving side that I just can’t deny. Some get an emo vibe when they get dressed, and others get a “give’em hell” attitude. Whichever you’re drawn to, you can’t deny the emotional effects that this culture and style has on people in second life.

If you’re looking for a new look or want to give it a try, there are a plethora of neko shops lining the numerous streets of second life and there is a shop on nearly every shopping SIM  in SL. I’ve looked through many and there are only a few quality that I really do patronize for my needs such as Deviant Kitty or Bitch Tail. The outfit above is Angel Kitty from Bitch tail which includes the ears, tail, boomers (feet), and outfit itself. The sexy hair is from Magicka (one of my favorite hair shops). I actually won this outfit at a midnight mania board which was a true prize! Bitch Tail has become practically it’s own empire and is certainly a place for every neko lover or addict. Happy Shopping! Revenge never looked so Good!

It’s time for me to talk about a designer and store that it is close to my heart – although that can be said for many other stores as well so please do not despair designers! I came across this particular store during on of my many shopping hunts one day and I’m so thankful that I was made aware of this store! She Wants [Revenge] is definitely not for the faint of heart or those that are into the conservative look. This designer appealed to the sexy rebel in me and not only that, they regularly give out gifts to all their group members- quality gifts! I’m sure there are many stores out there that give out freebies to their group members, most of the time things that have not sold as well as the believed it would but these outfits are specially made for gifts and the designer truly puts thought into what she gives out. Not only that but she has an awesome affiliate vendor program for those that want a little extra L$ in their pockets and help spread the word about these wonderful designs! I’m proud to say I’m one of those many affiliates. [Smiles]

They have everything from dresses, latex, pant outfits, lingerie, to shoes. These outfits are definitely not for those that are afraid of color and the extreme and dramatic look. Whenever I wear one of her outfits I feel daring, sexy, and ready to paint the town red along with a different array of colors! The seams of each outfit are perfect and there are none of those unseemly glitches that you would get with other outfits.
